A quiet friday evening, alone in front of my iMac and iMovie for the very first time, i stitched together the footage I took during the Tiananmen Square Massacre 20th Anniversary Candle Light vigil in this short video.

Hope you enjoy it.

Editing videos on the iMac is simply effortless. The full size 1080p avi files plays effortlessly on the desktop as well as in iMovie. Moving and dropping clips showed absolutely no lag whatsoever. And the program itself was completely intuitive and user friendly.

While I was playing around with this movie, it made me reminisce about me actually being there. In those moments, I felt a certain disconnect with those around me, holding those candles, immersed in the remembrance. I felt like a reporter, or at least somebody who was documenting history. It felt important. I didn't hold a candle, because I was too busy with the camera, but I felt what I was doing was just as symbolic of June 4th, because it is important to remember what happened years ago, years from now.
